Group Insurance Contracts of Airlines regularly only know any payment in case of permanent disability / unfitness to fly up to permanent loss-of-flight-license. This is a main difference to a private Loss-of-License policy done by the pilot individually: Coverage of flight disability for a certain period of time ( this happens in most cases ) but not permanent. Income losses are then covered only by pilot's private LOL-contract
